Really hard for me to pick one. My favourites are Racing, RPGs, Action Platformers.
RPG's and Action

Probably JRPGS and arcade shooters, which are pretty much polar opposites in gaming.

My favorite oldschool genres are sidescrolling shooter (Contra Hard Corps, Metal Slug), platformer (Mario, Sonic, Earthworm Jim, Megaman) and beat em up (Double Dragon, TMNT, Battletoads, Streets Of Rage, Golden Axe)

RPGs, but only Action ones. Turn Based RPGs are much lower on my list.

probably action-adventure, sidescrolling or otherwise. but your poll is really flawed. you didn't put down all the genres, and the ones you do have up there are described poorly/unclearly. i mean, platformers isn't even an option.. :?
