GBA worth investing in?

I've been thinking of buying a GBA SP or Micro.... I don't really know of any good games for it other than some of the RPGs and stuff. I was really wanting to buy a 360, but I can't really afford one right now. So I'm thinking about alternatives for games to buy. GBA worth investing in?
If you want an RPG system, invest in the DS instead. It has a huge library of RPGs, plays GBA games, and I need to add a 3rd thing so that my sentence flows nicely.GBA worth investing in?
The Micro is kind of cool, but once the novelty dies out you'll find you're prolly better off with the backlit SP.

It's all up to you whether you think you'll enjoy it enough for the investment.
Games to consider:
Summon Night: Swordcraft Story: light and fun RPG with the option for hilarious lesbian dialogue (best if you play as a girl with the companion Sugar)
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap: very pretty looking and fun zelda
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past: a more retro zelda
Mario %26 Luigi: Superstar Saga: lighthearted and entertaining
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance: apparently not as good as the PS version... I played it for quite some time nonetheless
Mario Golf Advance Tour: I played the GBC Mario Golf a lot, never got this one, but if the first was any indication--its def worth checking out
Well I was mainly considering getting a GBA because I think it's backwards compatible with all the old GB games right? I had a DS before and I really liked it. I just don't want shell out alot of money. Aren't ds's like $130 now?

Get a DS, then you can play all the old GBA games and the DS games. There are SOOOOO many great RPGS on the GBA and DS
get an ipod nano
if you want it for a collection, yesif you just wanna play gba games, just buy a ds so you can do both
I got a micro just so I could have it in my Gameboy collection. All I need is a DSLite. Probably won't get one, though.Stick with a SP because the micro can't play anything but gba games. Or you could save up for a ds or that 360 you were talking about.
get an ipod nano
what games can you play on the ipod nano? solitare and breakout? Come on man............but yeah ANYways, i would get a GBA SP. You can keep the screen in good shape since it folds up. and you can play old gb games or gba games on it. dont listen to people that say to to just get a DS, especialy since the DS costs like $120 and you can get a used GBA SP for under $50. edit: OR you could even get a cheaper GBA. it plays all the same games as the SP, but you'll need to buy a LIGHT for it. Places like gamecrazy sell the little light adapters for like $5 or so.
Yeah I think I'll get a SP once I can. I would like a DS, but I'm not a big fan of many of the DS games. I used to have one awhile back, but like everything I got rid of it!! Thanks....
go for super mario bros and legend of zelda for gameboy.
Yeah, a GBA is a good system.
DS would be a better choice to invest in.
Why not just buy a Gameboy color and then a DS??? It would save you a bit of money I would think. Just get a charger for the GBC. I found a GBC for $10 the other day.
No way. I'm giving you advice i wish people told me days before i got one.

it depends. depends how you want to experience playing games, and what games you want to play.the micro is the lightest and smallest, so it's very sexy, but i wouldn't buy it if you want to play RPGs because IMO RPGs look better on a bigger and brighter screen. the later version of SP apprently has a brighter screen, and its bigger. DS is good value considering you have a large library of games to choose from, but it's the heaviest and biggest, and it's more like a console/portable hybrid. it's also the most expensive. and i wouldn't bother buying the original GBA as its not backlit...but i guess if you play games in daylight, it's fine. i imagine the little light peripheral would be fiddley and make the GBA look pretty ugly.i have a DS for DS games and a micro for pick-up-and-play GBA games (fighters, puzzlers etc.)the nes classics range is what made me invest in a second gameboy, as i liked the idea of the simplicity of the two buttons and one screen, but i found it was better to play those NES games on DS or the gameboy player at home, because of the length and that you get a more 'classic' representation on a brighter screen. pacman still works great on the micro though, and of course bit generations.
I'm leaning towards an SP right now. Their only $50 used at Gamestop. GBA are $25. Probabily won't get the original GBA, because no backlit screen is a killer for me! :(
