Ummmm....Thanks? :i have to tell the fourms something...

You have a lot of catching up to do. This is where I started:
First one I played was FFX when it first came out. I was hooked after that. Played ever other number since then except 7 and 8.

And you haven't tried 7?? People regard 7 as the best. 6 is up there too. 9 is good. 10 doesn't even have an overworld map. It doesn't feel like I'm part of a big world when I play 10.
I'd start with final fantasy I. It's the simplest and it's the first in the series. You can get it on the GBA or playstation along with FFII, or by itself on the PSP.
which is the right to an newbie to final fanstasy..
Final Fantasy 8 (otherwise known as VIII). It's the second one I played but I found it easier and more fun than Final Fantasy 7, so I would definitely start with 8 if I were you.
well you already have the khilmari avatar, so why not try ffx?
The only one i ever played was X-2. I kinda liked it but everyone yells and complains about it.I think i only enjoyed it because ive never played the others.I did play one of them for the PSP.. not sure which one, i borrowed my friends psp and he had left the cartridge in there so i played it for a little bit.. not a bad game.I am thinking about getting some of the ones for the DS and the Wii though so hopefully you wont need to know the story for them since i dont think they are really connected at all.
Just start with 10 (the one from your avatar!) or FF9
It is the easiest and most accesible of the bunch.
FF13 was pretty badand anything below FF8 you are likely to be put down by the graphics

The first I ever played was the original for NES and could not get into it. Years later I play Final Fantasy IV on GBA and have been an RPG nut since then. So I say go with FFIV, great story, easy controls, great characters, some of the best music in any game ever made. My next was Vii and VIII, also epic games. VII was the best so far. I'm playing XII now.
Um... thanks for sharing? :?
